Telephone Chain Quilt Challenge 2004

We began with a single image, shown below. We divided Q&A into two chains of artists. The first person in each chain created a small quilt (16"x24") inspired by the postcard art by Romare Bearden, shown on this page. Their quilt was then passed on to the next person in the chain who made a quilt inspired by the quilt they saw, without ever seeing the original picture.
